On March 1, 2026, FlohPro will be one year old. In that year, FlohPro has grown into a established angling location in Apeldoorn and a rapidly growing webshop. This development didn't start in 2025, but has been in the making for several years.
The idea for FlohPro had been on the owner of NLTactical's mind for a long time. However, the desire was to bring in specialists for this and to set it up seriously and with strong content. In the summer of 2022, this was first discussed with Hengelsport Apeldoorn. That initial contact was exploratory but laid the foundation for further discussions.
In the summer of 2023, these discussions became more concrete. Collaboration, future vision, and possibilities to present angling more broadly and modernly were explored. In the autumn of 2023, the collaboration was finalized. Plans were developed, initial purchases were made, and the website and webshop began to take shape.
Its own location
In the spring of 2024, the lease for the current 1500 square meter building was signed, making it clear that FlohPro would become an independent company and Experience Center. In the winter of 2024, Hengelsport Apeldoorn definitively closed its doors.
As of January 2025, the owner of Hengelsport Apeldoorn joined FlohPro as Store Manager. The existing team moved entirely with him and was supplemented with new employees. This ensured that knowledge and experience were retained within the new concept. A month later, in February 2025, the keys to the building were received, and the setup began immediately, with the official opening on March 1, 2025.
Developments after the opening
After the opening, the assortment was gradually expanded. Monthly, new products and brands were added, fitting within the chosen direction. Nays, Trakker, Rapala, and Megabass, among others, were added. In parallel, the online offering also grew.
In December 2025, a redesign of the Experience Center was initiated. The goal is to provide more space for experience, product presentation, and explanations, for both beginner and experienced anglers.
Status after one year
On March 1, 2026, FlohPro will be one year old. In that year, the assortment has grown to more than 22,000 products, and FlohPro has gained a firm footing in the region and online. The focus remains on expansion, improvement, and further development of the company, the webshop, and the Experience Center.
The first year thus primarily marks an initial phase in which the foundation for the future has been laid.
