Navigate hands-free around the world with the Foretrex 601 and Foretrex 701 with AB Elite software — these durable wrist GPS navigation systems are built to military standards. You can determine your position almost anywhere via GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo satellite systems.
Foretrex 601 and 701 navigation systems are more than durable. They meet military standards for shock resistance and optimal performance in extreme temperatures and water (MIL-STD-810G). The systems also include tactical features, such as compatibility with night vision goggles and a Jumpmaster mode.
Both the Foretrex 601 and 701 operate with three satellite navigation networks: GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo. This means you are not solely dependent on GPS in remote areas. Go on longer adventures with a battery life of more than 48 hours in navigation mode and up to 1 week in UltraTrac mode.
Both on and off established trails, you can rely on the extensive navigation and tracking features of the Foretrex 601 and 701, using GPS and ABC sensor functionality (altimeter, barometer, and compass). The built-in altimeter provides altitude data so you can accurately monitor your ascent and descent, while the barometer can predict weather changes based on air pressure trends. The 3-axis electronic compass always helps you find your way, whether you are stationary or moving.
The Foretrex 701 with AB Elite software is an excellent tool for hunters and sport shooters. The system is equipped with Applied Ballistics Elite software for calculating bullet trajectories for long-range shooting.
Smartphone notifications1 are available on both devices. This allows you to receive emails, text messages, and alerts on your wrist. Use the Garmin Connect Mobile app to enable LiveTrack1 feature enabled. Others can then follow your trip (as long as you travel within areas with mobile coverage). Other connected features include automatic updates to your Garmin Connect™ online fitness community and automatic software updates when paired with a mobile device.
