The Yasei AX Perch Carolina & Texas Rig is specially designed for finesse perch fishing with softbait techniques such as the Carolina rig and Texas rig. The slim lightweight blank has a fast action to maximize casting distance and a very sensitive solid tip for perfect bite indication.
Finesse perch fishing is becoming increasingly popular. To fish effectively with such techniques, a specialized rod is a plus. Finesse rods have different characteristics compared to regular jig rods, which usually have a fast action. The Yasei AX Carolina/Texas rig rod is a specialized finesse rod with more sensitive properties to present finesse lures subtly.
Additionally, the rods are more sensitive to better feel what is happening underwater. The Yasei AX Perch Carolina & Texas Rig is available in two (2.30m) options, for both spinning and baitcaster enthusiasts. The spinning version has a casting weight of 4-14 grams, and the baitcaster version is designed for rigs of 7-20g. The spinning variant pairs best with a 2500 or C3000 reel, preferably a Magnumlite (Miravel/Vanford). For short-distance fishing in harbors or from a belly boat, a smaller reel size could also be chosen. The baitcaster variant fishes best with a size 71 MGL reel or for even more finesse, a BFS reel. The Yasei AX Carolina/Texas rig rod features a sensitive spliced-in solid tip equipped with Hi-Power X technology.
The addition of Hi-Power X improves casting performance and control over the lure, while the sensitive TAFTEC Alpha Solid tip registers the most subtle bites. Ideal for perch fishing in winter on river lakes where perch are often cautious.

The Yasei Perch Carolina & Texas Rig is a fantastic finesse rod. It is built from a High Modulus Full Carbon blank combined with Hi-Power X technology, Nano Alloy, and a TAFTEC Alpha solid tip. These features provide excellent sensitivity, casting performance, control, and a dampening action during the fight. The latter is important when fishing with thin lines and fine hooks (finesse).
This rod is equipped with Fuji's latest Alconite K-type guides, which are very suitable for thinner braided lines used in finesse fishing for perch.
