The PB Products Hit and Run Safety System is specifically designed for use with monofilament mainlines. On more and more waters – both club lakes and commercial venues – leaders and shock leaders are banned. This is because the knot between a thick mono mainline and a leader is often too bulky, which can block the clip in case of a line break, preventing the lead from being safely released. The PB Products Safety Pack provides the perfect solution: a fish-safe setup that allows you to continue using the popular Hit and Run Safety principle.

Setup is easy: simply slide the supplied 5 mm ring onto your mono mainline, attach the leadclip and tailrubber, and tie your mainline directly to the ring instead of a leader loop. This ring replaces the loop and ensures the clip will release smoothly in case of line breakage. For added safety, the setup can also be combined with anti-tangle tubing or tungsten variants.
