The Hit and Run Safety System from PB Products is specially designed for use with a mono main line. Leaders and shock leaders are prohibited on an increasing number of waters, both club waters and commercial day-ticket waters. The reason is that the knot between a thick mono main line and a leader is often too bulky, meaning the lead cannot always be released properly if the line breaks. The PB Products Safety Pack offers the perfect solution: a fish-safe system that lets you continue using the popular Hit and Run Safety principle.

The setup is simple: slide the included 5 mm ring onto the mono main line, attach the lead clip and tail rubber, and tie your main line directly to the ring instead of to a leader loop. This ring replaces the loop and ensures the clip comes free without a problem if the line breaks. For extra safety, the setup can be combined with anti-tangle tubing or tungsten versions.
