The Shimano SLX XT is the advanced upgrade of the hugely popular SLX and one of the most versatile baitcasting reels in its class. The XT version features Shimano’s advanced SVS Infinity braking system, offering precise and easily adjustable cast control. This makes the SLX XT suitable not only for heavier lures, but also for fishing with lighter lures where fine brake tuning is essential.
At its core, the SLX XT features a rigid and durable HAGANE Body made from lightweight aluminium, providing excellent stability and power under load. The external adjustment dial of the SVS Infinity system allows on-the-fly tuning without removing the side plate. Combined with the aluminium S3D spool and an additional high-end bearing on the spool shaft, this reel delivers smooth casting and consistent performance across a wide range of lure weights.
