Proven worldwide! The hugely popular Zodias is proudly part of Shimano’s exclusive JDM series and was developed for predator anglers who demand the utmost from their gear. With its striking matte black finish and unmistakable Japanese design, this series opens up endless possibilities for targeting pike, perch and zander with greater feel and pinpoint precision.
Although the Zodias was originally designed and developed in Japan for black bass fishing, the new Zodias has been further refined to deliver even better performance for lure anglers in Europe. You’ll immediately notice the improved balance and lighter feel in your hand, allowing you to fish with even greater precision. From finesse techniques to power fishing with heavier lures, the Zodias offers versatility without compromise.
At the heart of the Zodias series is Shimano Hi-Power X carbon technology, which reduces blank twist, improves casting accuracy, and enhances power transfer. This results in longer, more controlled casts and precise lure presentation. The rod delivers powerful hook sets and offers maximum control when casting both small and large lures. It also increases sensitivity when fishing with soft baits.
Every detail of the Zodias is designed with one goal in mind: maximum control and sensitivity for the angler. The lightweight custom Ci4+ reel seat and Carbon Monocoque handle combine to create an ultra-sensitive setup that lets you detect even the slightest bites - crucial when fishing with subtle finesse techniques. This is also an incredible advantage when fishing in deep water or strong currents. The Zodias also offers extra control and stability when fishing twitchbaits or jerkbaits more aggressively. Thanks to its balanced action and high-quality components, you can use any technique with confidence, from subtle finesse fishing to a powerful approach.
