
On 1 March 2026, FlohPro will celebrate its first anniversary. In that year, FlohPro has grown into an established fishing destination in Apeldoorn and a rapidly expanding online store. This development did not begin in 2025 but was preceded by several years of preparation.
The idea for FlohPro had been on the mind of the owner of NLTactical for quite some time. The intention, however, was to bring specialist knowledge in house and to build the concept seriously and with strong content. In the summer of 2022, initial discussions took place with Hengelsport Apeldoorn. These first talks were exploratory but formed the basis for further conversations.
In the summer of 2023, the discussions became more concrete. Attention was given to cooperation, long term vision, and ways to present fishing in a broader and more modern manner. In the autumn of 2023, the collaboration became definitive. Plans were developed, the first purchases were made, and the website and webshop began to take shape.
A dedicated location
In the spring of 2024, the lease for the current 1,500 square metre premises was signed. This made it clear that FlohPro would operate as an independent business and Experience Center. In the winter of 2024, Hengelsport Apeldoorn permanently closed its doors.
In January 2025, the owner of Hengelsport Apeldoorn joined FlohPro as Store Manager. The existing team moved over in full and was expanded with new employees. This ensured that knowledge and experience were retained within the new concept. One month later, in February 2025, the keys to the building were handed over and work on the interior started immediately, leading to the official opening on 1 March 2025.
Development after the opening
After the opening, the product range was expanded step by step. Each month, new products and brands were added in line with the chosen direction. Among others, Nays, Trakker, Rapala and Megabass were introduced. At the same time, the online offering continued to grow.
In December 2025, work started on redesigning the Experience Center. The aim was to create more room for experience, product presentation and explanation, for both beginner and experienced anglers.
Status after one year
On 1 March 2026, FlohPro will be one year old. In that year, the assortment has grown to more than 22,000 products, and FlohPro has secured a solid position both regionally and online. The focus remains on expansion, improvement and further development of the business, the webshop and the Experience Center.
The first year therefore mainly marks a starting phase, in which the foundation has been laid for the future.
