Don't be misled by the 'OC' (Oceanic) suffix of this robust Baitrunner. Although originally developed for saltwater live bait fishing, it is perfectly suited for static fishing for catfish, pike, and carp. The Baitrunner OC is extremely popular due to its affordable quality, packed with unique Shimano-developed features. The combination of the black body with the classic silver spool gives it an attractive look.
The reel body is made from Shimano's XT-7 composite, making it lightweight. Additionally, the Baitrunner OC is equipped with Shielded A-RB bearings, which are corrosion-resistant in saltwater, meaning they are even more durable in freshwater. The AR-C spool, with its unique angled lip, works in combination with Varispeed, Shimano’s variable oscillation system, ensuring excellent line lay for both monofilament and braided lines.
