The Baitrunner X-Aero 4000 is SHIMANO's premium 'compact' BAITRUNNER® reel, designed for specialized carp, tench, barbel anglers, and competition anglers who prefer a reel with a free spool system.
The Baitrunner X-Aero 4000 is incredibly popular due to its versatility. If you are looking for a smaller, compact reel to use for lightweight and active carp fishing, deadbait fishing for pike, barbel fishing, or competition carp fishing, the 4000 size is a perfect choice. The famous, user-friendly Shimano free spool reels are a reliable partner for fishing with fixed lead, (method) feeder, and even float rigs, primarily for fish species like carp, tench, and barbel, where bites often come suddenly and very aggressively. When the free spool function is engaged, the spool releases line with minimal friction until you pick up the rod and turn the handle, instantly activating the front drag, allowing the fight with the fish to begin.
Although the Baitrunner X-Aero 4000 is relatively small in size, it is remarkably powerful, so even large fish pose no problem.
