Trakker Clinga Captive Backweights are designed to keep your mainline pinned down and out of the way close to your rod tips, making them ideal for waters with boat traffic or obstacles. The reliable gate-latch system ensures smooth, secure line release on the strike, while the smooth winder shape allows the cord to deploy cleanly as the backweight slides along the mainline. A 1-metre length of heavy, lead-free leader is spliced to the backweight, keeping the cord flush to the lakebed and greatly reducing tangles. This is followed by 9 metres of highly visible, UV-reactive red cord that glows under UV light, making it easy to track in low-light conditions. The winder can be clipped to snag ears, positioned beneath alarms or pegged into the ground. When packing up, simply wind the cord back onto the winder and secure the backweight into the slot using the gate-latch system for neat, hassle-free storage.
