During the extraction of starch from corn, various by-products are produced. One of these is a thick, liquid slurry – Corn Steep Liquor (CSL) – in which corn kernels have been fermented (a process known as "steeping" in English). CSL contains the soluble components of the corn kernel. It is fully water-soluble and highly digestible. Thanks to the mild temperature treatment, the protein structure remains intact – ensuring excellent protein quality – and the nutritional value is preserved. The main production stream is used in the fermentation industry, which demands the highest quality standards. In short, our CSL is a protein source of reliable origin and consistent quality, rich in free amino acids. A powerful feeding trigger!
