The Yasei Jerkbait is specially designed for fishing with large jerkbaits and gliders. To get the best action from your jerkbaits you need a rod with special properties and that is exactly what the Yasei Jerkbait has.
The short length, a large backbone and a fast tip make it possible to optimally animate your lure at any speed you want without getting tired. At only 1.98 m long it is short enough to be used with a downward or side jerk technique, from the shore, (belly) boat or kayak. Combine it with a baitcaster in sizes 151 to 301 for optimal balance and you have a beautiful jerkbait combo. This allows you to jerkbait for a full day without getting tired. With an optimal casting weight of 45-100g, the Yasei AX Jerkbait is best suited for medium and large lures. Due to the subtle action of the tip, you can also fish with lighter jerkbaits if you wish. And don't forget, this model is specifically designed for using jerkbaits, but that doesn't mean you can't experiment with swimbaits and larger crankbaits.
The Yasei Jerkbait is made from a High Modulus Full Carbon blank using Hi-Power X technology and NanoAlloy. This reduces the twisting of the blank when casting and during the fight, but especially when you jerk your lure. This results in a more solid movement at any speed, which also allows you to increase the amount of aggression in your technique as needed.
To further improve long distance casting and overall performance, the rod is fitted with Fuji Alconite K-type guides. The Yasei AX is complimented with a comfortable Fuji ACS reel seat and an EVA split grip. Together this gives the series a modern, striking look that matches the brilliant fishing performance.
