This mix contains the highest quality crushed pellets and fishmeal, and its consistency is such that it stays on the feeder through the cast, the impact with the water, and the drop through the water in most commercial venues. Once the Method Feeder hits the bottom, it breaks down quickly, building up the line and keeping the fish there without overfeeding them. Des Shipp (England International) says: "For Method Feeder fishing in water up to about 6 feet, this is the groundbait to use. It is really easy to mix, binds well, and breaks up quickly around the Method Feeder when it hits the bottom. It is a mixture of crushed pellets, which gives you all the attraction you want on waters that are dominated by pellet."
Mixing Instructions
Match Method Mix is simple to mix. Empty the 2kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 2-pint maggot tub with water, pour this onto the groundbait, and mix thoroughly. Then allow it to rest for 30 minutes, during which time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait. For best results: To remove any lumps and create an even consistency, pass the groundbait through a riddle and it is ready to use.
When fishing in the sun or wind, the groundbait may dry out a little. To combat this, you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel, or if it dries out, simply add a little more water and mix again.
