When commercial fishing expert Andy Bennett joined the Mainline Match team earlier this year, he was eager to develop his own commercial groundbait for pole and feeder fishing – and that’s how Bagga Mix was born! This groundbait is made from a blend of various pellets with different fishmeal and oil levels, giving it a strong fishmeal and pellet aroma.
Upon closer inspection, you’ll see the varied shades and flecks of multiple pellet types. The grind gives it an even, slightly gritty texture, making it easy to prepare. The particles absorb water well, allowing the mix to fluff up nicely, but crucially, it also sinks quickly – ideal for keeping fish feeding on the bottom.
It can be formed into soft or firm balls and works especially well when fed ‘sandcastle’ style or loosely via a pole pot. It's equally effective around a Method or Hybrid feeder, breaking down quickly and evenly. The Bagga Mix’s neutral golden colour makes it attractive in any water clarity – a true all-round commercial groundbait for carp, F1s, and bream.
