The Gummifischkleber from Fishing Glue is a special, colorless, clear adhesive for almost all soft baits. Even salted and flavored shads can be glued without problems. The glued area remains soft and flexible. The Gummifischkleber does not stick to skin or clothing. It is easy to apply into holes, tears, and cuts in the soft bait. Here are some possible uses:
For repairing and gluing shads, (expensive) swimbaits, and other soft plastic lures. The lure "fits" again, soft and flexible. Even with smaller soft baits, repair is often worthwhile. You only need a small amount of glue per repair.
New color combinations are easy to create by cutting differently colored shads and reattaching, for example, differently colored tails.
Soft baits can easily be shortened or lengthened by cutting out or inserting pieces.
You can also combine different types of soft baits.
Or simply repair and keep fishing with your favorite, particularly effective soft baits.
Application:
If necessary, clean and dry the area to be glued. Apply a sufficient amount of adhesive on both sides of the cut, tear, or damaged area, let it dry for 5–10 seconds, and then press firmly together. Minor adjustments are still possible at this point. Immediately remove any excess glue. Lay down the lure and let it dry for at least 10 minutes. After that, the glued area is normally to strongly loadable. In general: the longer the drying time, the stronger the bond. Therefore, we recommend waiting at least 1 hour for heavily stressed bonds and heavy soft baits (e.g., swimbaits >16 cm). When gluing around the jig head or hook channel, remove the jig head first and also wait at least 1 hour (preferably longer) before using the soft bait again.
Storage / shelf life:
The storage and application temperature should ideally be between 10–25°C. If stored below 5°C, the glue can crystallize and may be temporarily unusable. When warmed back to room temperature, crystallized products become fully usable again.
