As Team Rozemeijer, we understand the power of a good shad, and a few years ago, we decided to launch an all-rounder on the market. A shad with a length suitable for both the polder angler and the pike(perch) angler on larger waters. However, the team kept thinking about it, as most of us enjoy fishing on bigger waters. The Paddle worked brilliantly, so why not make a larger version of it? It was decided to create a new model, the Giant Paddle. This large, thick-bodied brother was designed to better lure the ladies of the big waters.

Not only was six centimeters added in length, but the size also increased significantly. This resulted in a shad of 23 cm and a weight of 98 grams. As soon as we saw this piece of rubber, we knew it was a true totem for larger waters. The Giant Paddle can be fished in various ways. In the summer, when there is a lot of vegetation, a shallow screw is a good option. The Giant Paddle is sold with the shallow screw already installed in the shad, so there’s no need to purchase it separately. Like many other shads, a stinger needs to be made yourself. We recommend Rozemeijer’s 50lbs coated wire (sleeve size 1.8) and two treble hooks in size 2/0. If you want to fish the Giant Paddle a little deeper, you can of course opt for lead heads in various weights.
