Maggot Fishmeal is one of our most popular groundbaits. We knew that maggots were one of the best baits ever, and because of this, we wanted to harness their fish-catching ability in the form of a groundbait.
Maggots are from the blue bottle fly, which is the flavor used in making Maggot Fishmeal groundbait. A unique groundbait mixture of crushed pellets, fishmeal, breadcrumbs, meat extracts, and cereals, ideal for all species of coarse fish, especially Carp, F1’s, Bream, Tench, and Roach.
Mixing Guidelines:
Maggot Fishmeal is simple to mix. Empty the 2kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 2-pint maggot tub with water, pour this onto the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then allow it to rest for 30 minutes, during which time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait. For best results, pass the groundbait through a riddle to remove any lumps and create an even consistency.
When fishing, sun and wind may dry the groundbait out a little. To combat this, cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel or, if it dries out, simply add a little more water and mix again.
