The mid-priced Yasei Perch Versatile rods are specifically designed for perch fishing using a wide range of softbaits and American style rigs like the Texas and Carolina. Slim, sensitive and with a lightning fast action, these rods have remarkable versatility and are a joy to use, even when catching smaller than average fish, and has a sublime playing action.
Fishing for perch with soft plastic lures is becoming increasingly popular. Not only is the method fun, it’s also clinically effective and with the correct tackle can be exceptionally exciting. That’s where the Yasei Perch Versatile rods come in to play. Designed especially for using with small lures, they cast really well, enabling you to cover more water or cast with pinpoint accuracy to the underwater structures and features that perch love to shoal up around.
There are two versions of this special rod to choose and between them they will cover all of your requirements when you combine them with a 1000 or 2000 sized Shimano reel. The shorter 1.95m Finesse version has a casting weight of 3-12g making it perfect for smaller, lighter lures and when fishing tight to features. The longer 2.25m Regular version has a casting weight of 7-18g. This is a great all round rod for longer casts and will also cover most popular jig head/shad combinations suitable for perch. If you want to maximise your perch fishing fun, with a rod that will cover almost all of the situations you’ll find yourself in, the Yasei Perch Versatile is a guaranteed winner.
The superb sensitivity and playing action of the Yasei Perch Versatile comes from the High Modulus Full Carbon blank, built using Hi-Power X technology and Nano Alloy. This reduces blank twist when casting and playing fish, producing more accuracy when fishing tight to features and better control when fighting larger than expected fish or bonus zander and pike.
To further increase sensitivity and overall performance, the rods are fitted with the latest design Fuji Alconite K-type guides which are lightweight and suitable for the fine diameter braids used for perch.
In keeping with the high quality design, a Fuji reel seat is fitted onto the custom-design split grip EVA handle giving this range a modern, eye-catching appearance that matches their brilliant fishing performance.
